This is a used 1997s Gibson “Les Paul Standard Bass”.
Les Paul Bass is literally the base version of Les Paul.
It appeared not so early, in 1969.
At the time of its release, it was designed to use the pickup and circuit of the Les Paul Recording, which was equipped with a low impedance pickup.
Currently called the Les Paul Recording Bass. The model is basically based on the traditional Les Paul structure with a maple top and mahogany back.
Two humbuckers are mounted.
Gibson basses often have short scales, but this Les Paul bass is also unique in that it uses a long scale similar to Fender.
Instead of a pickup selector, it is equipped with a balancer.
In the case of bass guitars, I feel like people don’t use pickup selectors even if they have one, so this makes sense.
It looks like a normal Les Paul control, but it is equipped with a 2-band active equalizer, so you can control bass, treble, master volume, and balancer.
Active EQ has a center click that allows for boost and cut.
It’s pretty rough. It’s a perfect rock bass.
Let’s play hard with a pick.
I’m sure there are many former TOKIO members who remember Yamaguchi when they see this. A truly love-you-only book.
