Höfner 183 – 1977 German Vintage Solidbody Bass Guitar

This is the model 183 by „Höfner“. Höfner is a german luthier, who produced many kinds of instruments during the golden age of german guitarmaking between the 50s and the 80s. Höfner was known worldwide for their extraordinary quality and their traditional long tradition in making instruments. This was the reason, why many musicians, like Paul McCartney for example, swore on Höfner gutiars and played them through their carrer.

The bass is in really good shape for its age over all, but got some wear here and there, as you can see in the pictures. The electronics are fully functioning, the switches and potis work perfectly and the pickups produce a nice and distinctive vintage sound, perfect for the music of the 60s and 70s. The neck is straight and the action is low, therefore it is comfortable to play. The frets where polished, the fretboard was oiled and the strings are new too!

The bass can be played immediatly.

I ship worldwide with DHL and with the DHL-shipping insurance wich goes up to 500€. I am not going to lie to you or blandish a possible transport risk like some other people do. I have collected a lot of experience in the past on how to ship a guitar securely. I will take photos of the packaging and the exact condition of the guitar right before I ship it. You should know, that after shipping the guitar and entering the shipping number, I am not responsible for anything anymore and myjob is done. But I will gladly back you up with the insurance case with said photos and exact details in the rare case anything goes wrong. The standart insurance I ship all guitars with is up to 500€.
